Steelscope is a privately owned steel merchant established in June 2009 in Durban, South Africa. What began as a small operation serving walk-in customers and local fabricators in the greater Durban area has grown into a well-established business with a strong presence in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.

By 2015, after consistent growth and reliable deliveries across KZN, we expanded our operations into Gauteng. This strategic move allowed us to strengthen our supply network and provide a dependable flow of steel products between two of South Africa’s largest industrial hubs.

Today, Steelscope operates from two modern 3,000 m² warehouses, located in Westmead, Durban, and Germiston, Gauteng. Our competitive edge lies in our extensive stockholding, comprehensive product range, and a team of service-driven, experienced staff dedicated to meeting customer needs.

Our fleet of 12 delivery vehicles—from one-ton bakkies for quick and efficient deliveries to 18-ton double axle truck and trailers for your larger orders capable of delivering up to 13m lengths steel—ensures that we can handle any order efficiently and reliably, no matter the size.
